The Summer Workshop Exchange with Clay Arts Utah and Arizona Clay Association begins with a corrugation style pottery workshop from Kayenta on June 6th at 2 pm MDT (1:00 MST for our Arizona friends).
Kayenta is an Utah artist using traditional methods and wild clay to create her amazing work. In this online workshop we will learn the art of corrugation style pottery, an ancient technique used in the American southwest. Corrugation refers to the texture that is created by spiraling and pinching coils to build upwards. Kayenta will demonstrate this technique, share tips and tricks for starting a pot, shaping and then finishing with a rim.
Free to members of Clay Arts Utah and Arizona Clay Association. Watch your email for the Zoom link at the start of June.
