Black Friday shopping doesn’t have to mean crowded malls with generic gifts made far, far away. Here in Salt Lake City, there is a better answer for Thanksgiving weekend shopping: the Annual Clay Arts Utah Holiday Sale. Admission and parking are free.

Talented local artists will offer their hand-made clay artwork for sale, including functional pottery, dinnerware, sculpture, jewelry and decorative artwork. This year’s fantastic artists: Kathleen Royster, Lisa Mace Scoville, Melissa Frauendorfer, Arika Lau, Miharu Koh, Suzanne Storer, Neena Plant, Willey Beers, Chad Zielinski, Gail Smith, Lee Dillon, Jordan Harvey, Hanna Bowen, Lily Wallace, Jill Powlick, Lara Carroll, Adriana Serran Vazquez, Randi Lile, Laura Wittig, Jake Peterson, Todd Drazan, Barbara Schaecher, Debbra Ralston, Robynn Whiting, Brown, Claudia Bowmont, and Joshua Flicker

Participating artists are skilled in clay and ceramics arts, including wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces. The range of designs and prices will make for a colorful and inspiring shopping experience. This an opportunity for shoppers to browse comfortably, meet the artists, buy local, and support the arts education programs fostered by Clay Arts Utah, a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
