Bowl-A-Thons are Underway!

Now is the perfect time to start making ware for the Empty Bowls fundraiser for St. Vincent de Paul. Several area studios are hosting Bowl-a-thons or Throw-downs for the cause for their students and skilled potters who need studio access and are committed to seeing their work through to completion. Most are providing reclaimed clay for these events.

Peterson Art Center July 6, 9 – 6 PM

Art Haus July 14 10-12 PM

Red Kiln July 19th and 20th, from 12 – 8 PM

Muddie Buddies – July 20

Iron Desert Arts – August 16, throwing, 17 trimming 6-9 PM

Art Haus, Cottonwood Pottery Clay Studio, Sunstone Pottery Studio, and the Visual Art Institute have all indicated their intent to support the effort. Ask your studio managers for more information or look for updates on Instagram.

Sunstone Pottery has offered to donate 2 bags of stoneware or 1 bag of porcelain to each studio.  Email info@clayartsutah.com if you need help making that connection.
